A Wild Card in the World
I believe that great things don’t come from comfort zones. Born and raised in the beautiful island country of Taiwan, I was always an artistic person, and was involved in the fields of performing arts, literature, linguistics, and fine arts. Years ago, I made my first jaw dropping decision to move halfway across the world to Toronto, Canada and began my journey of getting a CPA designation. After years of working in accounting and finance, I never fully felt settled in the industry, so I made another big career change and left my comfortable accounting job to pursue something that was more attuned with who I am.
I reconnected with my journey toward being a creative, except that this time, I had added more dimensions to my skillset with years of experience in business. Most importantly, I now bring true passion to my work.
At Big Ears Creative, I listen to your story and bring out your unique brand voice authentically through strategic, thoughtful, and design-forward thinking. Because changes can be scary and are never comfortable, I am here to collaborate, to grow, and to witness these rewarding moments with you to produce those great things that come from going outside of your comfort zone.

MJ is the combination of initials of my Chinese and English names. Both cultures represent who I am and I carry both with me each day.

A morning person who loves late night parties. I love working out in the morning, and will never say no to friends who want to grab drinks and dance the night away…no matter how tired I am during the day.
Traditional Chinese & Mandarin is my first language, and I am very proud of that.
Very bad at math for a majority of my lifetime, but still became an accountant. Everything is possible! (Thank you calculators!)
What’s with the Name?
Big Ears Creative was inspired by this adorable little chiweenie. As I struggled to create my brand, I realized that what I represent was in front of me all along. While my ears are not as big as hers, I listen carefully to my clients so that I can provide the best possible creative work for a project. I also am inspired that even though she may be small, she is not scared of the challenges that this big world can throw at her. Tiny but mighty!
Tana was rescued off the streets of southern Texas before making the long journey north of the border to find her fur-ever home with me. I never believed in love at first sight, but the moment they struggled to take this girl out of her crate, I knew. I knew that I was going to take care of her and show her that this big old world isn’t that scary.
