A Song for You
BRAND DESIGN + WEBSITE DESIGN
In response to COVID-19, Singer–Songwriter Emily Cavanagh launched the A Song For You initiative, which sends both personalized and covered songs to patients and families hit hardest by COVID. Emily and I worked together to create the branding and website that best represents the spirit of A Song For You, which gave back to the community with their musical skills and expressed humanity during the pandemic.
The overall brand visuals convey warm, simple, and comforting feelings. The logo is simple, warm, and authentic with a softness that embodied the charitable spirit. The hand drawn guitar with a subtle textured colour block creates a presence of authenticity and it also represents the singer–songwriter part of Emily.
The creation of the word mark also surrounds the idea of simplicity and friendliness. The ligature between the “g” and “f” presents the connection of humanity, providing some comfort that the people who are affected by the pandemic are not alone.
